    1. Hi, Kay! One of the things I loved about researching Stars in Her Eyes was getting to watch Timothy Dalton in a BBC production of Jane Eyre. :) It was fun to work bits of that classic into the story.

  19. Maude Adams' photo sinks it for me ~ Willow's story. The houses on the hillside in Galena, IL ~ breath-taking. We went for an open-house tour years ago. Amazing how some backed up to rock cliffs, hidden from view. I worked with vision-impaired students so I am drawn to the mining story; and have loved to read about orphan train stories so this traipse across the country would be a good read too. We live in the Missouri Ozarks and I love the sound of the train whistle nearby carrying coal and empties coming back; especially the sound at night. Soothing.

Choose?? You sweet ladies. Historicals are my very favorite. I guess I will have to win a copy to let you know! Kathleen ~ Lane Hill House lanehillhouse[at]centurylink[dot]net
