Friday's Coffee Table Talk

Sorry, no book report from us today! All three of us seem to have hit the wall with our schedules. I've just finished six long weeks of a wild and car--azy work schedule. Jaime has been pounding out the last chapters of writing her current book. And Erica, well, she has book contracts raining down on her!

So, what's on your coffee table?  Pour the coffee! Pull up your chair to our coffee table! What are you reading right now? Please post a list of your current fun book, your To-Be-Read list, or your plans for summer relaxation and vacation ideas.

  1. I've been reading a lot this summer! I super enjoyed the following: Dear Mr. Knightley by Katherine Reay, Shattered by Dani Pettrey, Truth Stained Lies by Terri Blackstock, Safe By the Marshal's Side by Shirley McCoy, Hazardous Duty by Christy Barritt, Aurora Sky Vampire Hunter by Nikki Jefford. I organized all my book into genres on my Kindle to make for easy reading. I have over 800 books! My next read will be Stranded by Dani Pettrey and then I'm going to move to some historical. Probably be A Constant Heart by Siri Mitchell.

  2. I'm with Jess. Been reading a ton! Right now I'm reading Lakeside Sweethearts by Lisa Jordan. Recent top reads? Jody Hedlund's Captured by Love, Becky Wade's Meant to be Mine, Melissa Tagg's Here to Stay, Wendy Miller's The Flower Girls, Beth Vogt's Somebody Like You, and Karen Witemeyer's Full Steam Ahead. Up next? Sarah Loudin Thomas's debut, Miracle in a Dry Season! Can't wait!!

  4. Right now, "After Action - A Cobra Pilot's Journey" by Dan Sheehan. Next up is "Civilian Warriors" by Erik Prince. He's the guy who formed Blackwater (now known as Academi). I worked in that field a generation ago, and it'll be interesting to read about how time has changed things.

After that, probably a re-read of Greeley "The Cardinal Virtues". I am nothing if not eclectic.

  6. Hi Anne! I have been reading a lot this summer! I just finished Susan May Warren's Christiansen series - it was great! I managed to read all 3 of them in 4 days - I also didn't get anything else done those days. My two newest favorite fun books are Here to Stay by Melissa Tagg and A Match of Wits by Jen Turano! :)
    My current TBR pile includes:
A Bride for Keeps by Melissa Jagears (a reread in anticipation of her new release)
For Love or Loyalty and For Love or Country, both by Jennifer Hudson Taylor
Ronie Kendig's Operation Zulu Redemption serial novel
    Shaken by Kariss Lynch
Captured by Love by Jody Hedlund
An Aria For Nick by Hallee Bridgeman
With Every Breath by Elizabeth Camden (when it releases)
And for non fiction, Jesus>Religion by Jefferson Bethke.
I'm not sure what to read next - either A Bride for Keeps or For Love or Loyalty. I can't decide. Thoughts?
What's in your TBR pile? Any new releases you are super excited about?
Hope you have a great weekend!
    ~Sarah
